STUDIO SESSION - FARMINGTON, AR

For Kenli’s 2 year photos, Charli and I went back and forth on when and how to do them. Charli is usually always up for a studio session and I will tell you why this one was easier to do in studio.

Last Thanksgiving, I set up a Black Friday discount for the first 5 people to sign up for it. Charli was actually the only one that signed up for it, which saved her $67 on this session. Yes, 67… 6-7… I have three boys, this was a daily occurrence in my home so when I was deciding on what amount to set up for this, 67 just made sense. Well, anyway. Charli is smart and saved herself $67 on this session during the sale.

These were taken on March 27, 2026. We chose The Studio on White Street in Farmington for these. Spoiler alert… it’s the only studio that I shoot at. Why? Allison is a friend of mine but not only that she is talented. Like stupid talented. And always creating the best spaces for people like me to show up and shoot.

For this session, being in March, you never know what the weather will be like. Granted, this day was like 67 degrees… not actually making a joke I’m pretty sure that was the high this day lol. But anyway, you just don’t know how Arkansas weather is going to be so we were like well let’s do it inside. Also.. with a “2” balloon in play and a baby, you just don’t HAVE to make it harder on yourself by doing it outside in the middle of the day, trying to wrangle all of the stuff. The baby is cold, the 2 balloon is blowing away, you know how it is.

For this session I brought my own lighting because it was overcast outside so I just wanted to have that good pop of light, which you can see in some of the photos below. It brightened up the faces and the eyes, and without that light I would have had a softer, dimmer look. Also nice, but not what I was going for for this one.

So, why should you decide on studios?

  1. Weather is not an issue. It could be raining, it could be hot, it could be cold… the studio is always a comfy temperature.

  2. You don’t have to bring anything. Allison has the best setups for us already. Just bring yourself!

  3. Seamless & consistent lighting. (This one is more of a draw for me as the photographer, but when you get your gallery back, you’ll appreciate that too lol.)

  4. Affordable studio hourly fees.

If you are leaning towards a studio session, email me and let me know and we can make it happen!
